This is super impressive for your first time! You blow me away! If you keep this up and keep improving you are going to get awesome at it ^_^
Your blending is great, and it looks like you have a pretty good hold on layering, just need a little bit of work on your cutting ^_^

Thanks you! <33 I know, my cutting was terrible xD It was a pretty bad photo to use for this though, of the giraffe... xDD the background was practically the same colour in some areas, I just wanted to use that pic. xD And I've been using photoshop or similar since I was.... 11? xD So layers come naturally now xD Thanks so much for the crit, I shall bear it in mind =D Any other problems you can see? There's a little issue with lighting on the giraffe maybe...
